Bailgate Tours

The Cathedral Quarter walking tour takes about 1hour 30 minutes and is mostly on the flat (avoiding our Steep Hill)

This tour is of the uphill area and explains the history from the Romans to the 21st Century and whilst no buildings are entered, the architecture and history of the stunning Cathedral, the dominating Castle and the romantic ruins of The Bishop's Palace can be enjoyed. On this tour the homes of the enigmatic Duchess of Lancaster, Lady Katherine Swynford are identified.

The tour will take you along cobbled streets, past the timber-framed buildings and onto the charming shops of the Bail.
